support our Woman of Steel-Veronica Valadez.

Our Goal
Veronica C. Valadez is our WOMAN OF STEEL. She lost her battle with cancer on April 10, 2010 at the age of 41. She is remembered by all who love her as a woman full of faith, love, courage, endurance and determination.
Roni was excited with this year’s walk. Last year as she thanked her walkers for their love and support, she challenged them to bring one person with them to this year’s walk in order to help the foundation raise more funds. Her family and friends are not only committed in honoring her wish, but determined to raise as much money as possible to help such a wonderful cause.
I was touched at how much trust and confidence Veronica had in the Foundation and the help they offer those who need them. She had the opportunity to help a young lady who was in need of the Foundation and the services they offer. Roni became the rock that gave that family strength and gave them the hope they would not otherwise find. I wanted to share this story so everyone can witness how wonderful the power of love and support is.
Our hearts ache in the absence of Veronica and this year’s walk will be very difficult for all, but our spirits find strength in remembering and honoring our WOMAN OF STEEL. She will forever live in our hearts and we will keep fighting to bring help to all who need it. Roni would want people to remember that this event is intended to bring hope to those who need it and bring healing to those who hurt. The bond that is formed by the Foundation’s walk brings teams closer together and transforms them into one big family. We all share in the joys, pains, loving memories and remember the cause is one- TO BRING HELP AND HOPE TO THOSE WHO NEED IT!!
